Bari Headrest ca. Early 20th c.
This wooden headrest, with leatherwork serving as a handle, is the brother of another Bari headrest which can be found in the Oxford University’s natural history anthology here. The carving of each is so similar that I am led to believe they were carved by the same hand. As with the Oxford example, this Bari headrest is circa early 1900s.
