Kwere Thumb Piano
Kwere thumb piano with a rich patina from many years of playing; you can practically see the handprints of the musician impressed upon the instrument. Beautiful, traditional Kwere-style chipwork. This is a playable instrument with a lovely sound, made from a single piece of wood that has been hollowed out from the side. That opening has been filled by an inset piece of wood, which has been set in place using vegetal gum.
