Widekum Skin-Covered Crest
The Widekum of Cameroon made a variety of small anthropomorphic dance crests that featured a carved head covered with skin attached to basketry. The crests were occasionally full figures and occasionally Janus or even multi-faced representations. This crest comes from a St. Louis, MO collection assembled in the 1970s and 80s. $850
