Mangbetu Cache-Sexe
The Mangbetu people of the Congo wove exquisite personal garments using dyed, handcrafted vegetal fiber. Cache-sexes, such as this one made of dyed palm fiber, were worn by Mangbetu women as small apron-skirts to cover the pelvic region.
